FROM MANHATTAN

Long Island Expressway, about six miles, to Grand Central Parkway East

Grand Central Parkway, about two miles, to sign, Van Wyck Expressway - Kennedy Airport Bear right at the intersection to the Van Wyck Expressway

Van Wyck Expressway, south toward Kennedy Airport, about four miles to sign,

Belt Parkway East Nassau Expressway. Bear left at this exit prior to Kennedy Airport. Continue around left turn for about 100 yards to exit on right, Nassau Expressway.

Continue on Expressway for about one mile. Expressway runs directly into Rockaway Turnpike.

Continue on Rockaway Turnpike for about seven miles, to Broadway, in Cedarhurst. About one mile before Broadway, roadway narrows. Two blocks before Broadway, roadway crosses railroad tracks.

Turn left on Broadway, for about one and one half miles, through the village of Woodmere and just past the large school building on the right, to the Woodmere- Hewlett Public Library

Competitions take place in Gold Auditorium on the lower level

FROM VERRAZANO BRIDGE or BROOKLYN

Follow signs, Belt Parkway Eastern Long Island to Belt Parkway, east, to exit #21, Rockaway Turnpike.

Continue on service road to first traffic light, which is Rockaway Turnpike. Turn right to junction with Nassau Expressway, about one mile. Continue on Rockaway Turnpike, alongside of Kennedy Airport.

Continue as per Rockaway Turnpike in top paragraph

FROM EASTERN LONG ISLAND

Southern Parkway, to Exit - 195, Peninsula Boulevard Rockville Center

Continue south on Peninsula Boulevard, about eight miles, to Rockaway Turnpike, a wide, heavily traveled intersection

Turn left and continue on Rockaway Turnpike for about one mile as per the top paragraph.

BY LONG ISLAND RAILROAD

Long island Railroad, Far Rockaway branch, to Hewlett station.

Cross railroad tracks from parking lot to street, Franklin Avenue.

Turn right on Franklin, one block, to first traffic light which is Broadway. Turn right on Broadway. Library is about one half mile on the left.

FYI….Taxis are available at the Hewlett railroad station.
